T-Rox Music Academy of Mississauga, Ontario

For many years, the T-Rox Music Academy has provided private sessions, band programs and outlets to its students in the Mississauga, Ontario region. The school's mission, according to co-owner Tommi Korhonen, is to teach proper music fundamentals while ensuring that the students have fun, enjoying music in a stress free environment.

The Need:

Even as the T-Rox management team kept focus on enjoyment for students, success in business was beginning to take the enjoyment out of running the business; its growth outpaced the abilities of the software solutions they were using to manage billing, contact management, scheduling, and bookkeeping. As a result, in 2007, T-Rox began searching for a better solution. "As the business kept growing, the software we needed to manage everything become more complicated, to the point that we were using three or four programs to keep track of it all," explains Chief Creative officer and co-founder Sean Cunnington. "Plus, with multiple locations, we had the added problem of needing access to business data anywhere."

The Solution: ClassJuggler

In his search for a holistic business management tool, Sean Cunnington found ClassJuggler. "We needed a solution that could consolidate and integrate all our business data and provide a single interface for doing it all -- one that would fit our monthly billing and scheduling cycles. Until ClassJuggler," Cunnington says, "Every other system we looked at just complicated the picture. ClassJuggler integrates all aspects of the business of running a music school, such as class schedules, billing, and contact management. And I now have access to all our business information no matter where I am."

While Cunnington was immediately attracted to ClassJuggler's ease of use and ability to provide a consolidated view of the business, he has come to value how customizable ClassJuggler is. "It allows you to use its tools the way that makes the most sense for you and your business. It's easy to format ClassJuggler to match the format of your own business." Cunnington cites the ClassJuggler scheduling tools as a good example of this. "You can adjust the program to do billing so that it matches up to the schedule of classes you have, whether it's weekly, daily, monthly, or whatever."

Cunnington also notes that ClassJuggler has simplified previously onerous tasks, both for them and for their clients. "It's so much better, now that we have online financial processing of payments, instead of manually entering everything, or forcing our clients to come in and swipe a credit card to make a payment."

Cunnington has come to appreciate what he calls the "thought process" behind how ClassJuggler was designed and how it works. "After trying other solutions, we found that ClassJuggler's processes best fit with our billing and scheduling. Other systems made it complicated, or simply couldn't deliver a calendar-based way of organizing and processing things. And the personnel at ClassJuggler are incredibly easy to work with; very responsive, and very good at updates. I bring up an idea or a need, and it often shows up in the next iteration."

To sum up what Cunnington likes about ClassJuggler, he says, "It has made my life a lot easier!"
