How Are My Classes Doing? Looking at Enrollment Statistics Across Sessions/Seasons.

Sometimes it is important to know how certain programs or all of your classes you teach are doing from an enrollment standpoint, season to season or session to session. Are my Acro classes more popular this year than last? Did we have more kids in our hip-hop classes this year? Are my advanced swim classes as popular?

Luckily, with ClassJuggler, you have access to all of your enrollment data and statistics for as long as you have been a customer.

The go-to report for this type of information is the Class Enrollees report. This report allows you to run current and historical reports on enrollment for any period of time using a flexible range of filters to get to the date you want. This includes looking at overall enrollment in a period, or specific class types, or enrollments by instructor, day of the week, and much more. The ideal way to compare enrollment counts across periods is easy:

  1. For your current session/season, run the Class Enrollees report for "All active classes." Feel free to filter this by day, instructor, class type, or other filters for a more targeted count. Make sure to select subtotals and totals as an option.
  2. Re-run the report and select "Active or Expired Classes - Choose Dates." This report type lets you run enrollment counts on a particular period of time for the same classes you ran in the first report.
  3. Compare your class counts, total student counts and unique student counts. These number will give you a solid look at how enrollment has changed over a period of time.
Note: You can also export this report to a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file for even more tweaking in your favorite spreadsheet software.
